A resale opportunity allows you to buy an established business with the opportunity to make a difference from day one, whereas a start-up opportunity involves taking a vacant territory and creating a brand new Signs Express centre from scratch with full support from the Franchise Support Centre.
The overall investment for a start-up centre is £215,000 which includes your franchisee fee, motor vehicles, machinery and equipment and full premises fit out. We suggest a 30/70 split in terms of financing, meaning you have 30% in liquid capital to be able to fund the sale, with the remaining 70% being funded by bank loans for example. We have relationships with key high street banks who can support you with funding if required. You would therefore require £65,000 capital to get you started.
A start-up allows you to choose a location in the UK or Ireland that suits you. So long as the territory is vacant and we think it’s a viable location to succeed business wise, you can choose specifically where your business operates.
